This the patron saint of my kitchen. Lord Krishna, who as a baby loved his butter, and got caught eating butter from the urn. I love butter so much. Sometimes I eat butter too. I also love ghee, the buttery clarified oil used so often in Indian cooking and Ayurveda. I think I need to post about the wonders of Ghee sometime soon.
But if your like me, and enjoy eating butter, you'll enjoy getting to know baby Krishna.
When I get moved back to Tucson I'm going to get a murti of Krishna eating butter to put above my stove to watch over the cooking of nourishing and delicious food.

I love butter, I am seriously considering getting a cream seperator for our goat milk as we spend ridiculous amounts on butter....I used to babysit a girl who ate butter by the spoonful- her mom would tell me expressly- don't let her steal butter- and of course I would get a stick out for her and let her sit down at the table proper to eat it, with the warning that she could never tell on me, lol I am not kidding, she could eat a half a stick of butter in the blink of an eye.
I just found your lovely blog and wanted to say hi.
Thanks for the Vitalist description on the side- I have heard that term a couple times but had absolutely no idea what it meant......
