Fire and Ice

Fire and Ice

Took a trip to the Chiricahua Mountains this weekend, despite warnings of winter weather. We did indeed encounter winter weather. Lots of wind, cold and this morning....a good helping of wet white stuff! You guessed it. SNOW! What a special treat to wake early this morning and poke my head out of the tent to find a snow covered forest! We spent most of the time huddled around the fire to keep warm this weekend, so I'm dubbing our weekend , Fire and Ice, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger! Rough tough stuff we women are...it was such a treat, and we high tailed it out this morning to save ourselves the hassle of being snowed in at 6000 ft. though i imagine we'd have made it through, with the extra food and water we had, plenty of shelter and good company. But just as well, we're home safe with good memories and great fotos!
