here in the upper midwest, our butterfly weed is also blooming but i'm still waiting eagerly for the mondarda to bloom... there are little green buds on the tops of each stem though:) beautiful pictures!
that was the very first of the monarda blooms i saw. I'm hoping there will be many more int he coming weeks. I have a monarda mission this week. The leaves make such a lovely medicine, but the flowers are so potent... I really want some monarda honey this year!
